Ruby def. Naomi
After Ruby Riott turned the tables on Charlotte Flair last week by defeating Becky Lynch in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match and boisterously claiming “one down, two to go,” Riott looked to continue her countdown on SmackDown LIVE, squaring off against Naomi, with The Riott Squad and Flair & The Irish Lass Kicker at ringside.

As Riott looks to gain even more momentum en route to her SmackDown Women’s Title encounter against Flair at WWE Fastlane, the rough and rugged competitor seemingly had an answer for Naomi’s dynamic and explosive offense at every turn, and she dimmed The Glow with a vicious Riott Kick for the win. It was now “two down, one to go” on the scorecards of both Charlotte and Ruby.

Riott Squad def. Naomi, Charlotte & Becky Lynch (Due to Interference)
With the conflict between The Riott Squad and the rest of the Team Blue Women’s division escalating by the week, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan squared off against the all-star team of SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, Naomi and Becky Lynch.
The momentum swung back and forth, as both sides attempted to assert dominance while also looking to gain a critical edge less than two weeks away from the historic first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match.

In the bout’s critical moments, a surging Naomi was hitting anything that moved, but with the referee distracted by the melee outside the ring, Ruby drilled the former SmackDown Women’s Champion with an illegal kick from the apron, and Morgan capitalized by planting Naomi with an impressive jaw-jacking maneuver to pick up another huge win for The Riott Squad.

Naomi Promotes her Upcoming Match with Natalya

Natalya vs. Becky Lynch (w/ Naomi on Commentary)
As we head into SummerSlam and Naomi’s biggest title defense yet, Naomi joined the announce desk to observe a match between number one contender Natalya & Becky Lynch. Observing the competition closely, Naomi says she has a big Glow entrance planned for her successful title defense this Sunday. As Natalya locks in the famous sharpshooter, the announcers comment that Nattie’s glare rested solely on Naomi. Naomi says “that’s all she’s going to do is stare.” Naomi looks rather unconcerned as Natalya is able to make her opponent tap out in the ring. When Natalya goes to inflict some additional punishment after the bell rings, Naomi jumps to Becky’s defense. She storms after Nattie and just manages to grab a bit of Nattie’s hair as Natalya thinks better of having a confrontation. As the two stare each other down, Carmella and Ellsworth make their way out to the entrance ramp to wish the two women “luck” in their match and say “From the bottom of my heart, may the best woman win.” Ellsworth adds “And whoever wins, you lose!” as Carmella holds up her MITB Briefcase.

First Women’s MITB Ladder Match Announced

Initially, we were supposed to find out Naomi’s number one contender tonight on SmackDown, but after an extremely competitive match by all the women involved GM Shane McMahon had an idea. He would come to the ring and announce the very first women’s MITB Ladder Match to take place during that PPV of course. Naomi, who had been watching eagerly backstage, didn’t seem phased by the news in her interview following the announcement. She says confidently that the MITB Briefcase will be a game changer, but the winner would have to catch her when she is down – which simply won’t happen.

The Anti-Welcoming Committee

With the “welcoming committee” by her side, Natalya took on Becky Lynch, who had SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi in her corner, in front of the UK faithful on Team Blue. However, before the contest could begin, Charlotte Flair came out to seemingly even the odds further and watch The Irish Lass Kicker’s back.

The two Superstars engaged in a hard-hitting affair, but Natalya caught Lynch off-guard for the victory when The Irish Lass Kicker was distracted by a disconnect between Naomi and Flair, who were trying to keep Carmella, James Ellsworth and Tamina at bay.

Alexa Bliss def. Naomi

The tension between Alexa and Naomi has become heated in the past few weeks after Naomi handed Bliss a loss in their impromptu match at No Mercy. Last week on SmackDown Alexa claimed she could beat Naomi “any day of the week” to Daniel Bryan. Bryan then decided Alexa would face Naomi this week on SmackDown to try and settle the score. Everyone was beginning to wonder if Naomi will once again find herself in title picture, given that she’s presented a formidable challenge for the number one contender to overcome.

So, after a hard-fought contest by both Superstars, Bliss overcame Naomi with Twisted Bliss. Where Naomi’s stake in the SmackDown Women’s Championship lies now…we aren’t sure. Alexa then refocused her concentration on her Nov. 8 SmackDown Women’s Championship Match against Becky Lynch in Glasgow, Scotland, claiming that she would end Lynch’s fairy-tale title reign. And we await what will happen next for Naomi, who is sure not to let one loss get her down that easily!

The Feud for the SmackDown Women’s Championship Heats Up

SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan held a forum ahead of Sunday’s Six-Pack Elimination Challenge for the first-ever SmackDown Women’s Championship. Every competitor was on edge with the huge matchup now firmly looming over all of their heads. Eventually and inevitably, chaos broke out between the six trailblazers when Carmella, Natalya and Alexa Bliss surrounded Becky Lynch in the ring, drawing Naomi and Nikki Bella to come to her aid. Backlash had come early — both figuratively and literally — and the women doubled-down on their outburst, with a Six-Women Tag Team Match looming later in the evening
Throughout history there have been many unlikely pairs — Floyd Mayweather and Justin Bieber, Hamilton and Broadway, and now, especially with the SmackDown Women’s Championship Six-Pack Challenge looming, these two teams of three comprised of the SmackDown LIVE Women’s division.
The action was just as manic as it was earlier in the night with all six women wanting to both secure the win for their team and gain any possible advantage they could over the other five heading into the championship opportunity on Sunday.
In the end, Carmella yet again dropped Nikki Bella, taking advantage of the frenzy to defeat Bella with the Code of Silence.
